Even though I am not opposed to your proposal, it violates


the current NCAA bylaws. Yes, the bylaws could be changed, but it is unlikely they will change because of the ACC's "special relationship" with Notre Dame. Given the way the bylaws are written now, the Big Ten (and others) are guaranteed that the ACC can't give Notre Dame a backdoor access to the ACC Championship Game as long as Notre Dame remains an independent in football.
